THE LAW OFFICE OF WILLIAM WOLF URGES REJECTION OF ABA RESOLUTION 114 BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES.

On Behalf of Wolf Criminal Law | Aug 11, 2019 | Firm News

Tomorrow, the ABA House of Delegates will be considering adoption of ABA Resolution 114, which eliminates the presumption of innocence in sex assault cases by requiring an accused to receive affirmative consent from his or her partner before proceeding. In other words, a prosecutor need only prove sexual contact and it’s presumed to be a sexual assault unless evidence of consent is presented. If you know a member of the ABA House of Delegates, contact them now and urge the resolution’s rejection. This resolution is opposed by, among others, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Illinois Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. https://www.thefire.org/american-bar-association-must-reject-guilty-until-proven-innocent-affirmative-consent-resolution/
