What happens when the Government orders Amazon or Facebook to turn your camera on?

This fascinating new article from Forbes discusses a new issue that’s squarely  (IMHO) within the confines of the Carpenter holding. Instead of accessing your cell site location information that’s acquired from e.g. T-Mobile, there’s the distinct possibility that law enforcement will be asking Amazon to turn on your Amazon Key Camera remotely or Facebook with their new Portal Camera.

When asked about the possibility that the Government will remotely hijack your camera, Amazon for now, is mum. It’s also unclear whether these companies will demand a warrant or whether they will just obey a court order.

This is going to get interesting………….
