Can I Have My Lawyer Present During the Police Lineup?

The accused has the right to have his or her lawyer that is there present during the lineup. The single greatest cause for an innocent man or woman to be wrongfully convicted in this country is incorrect eyewitness identification. Because of this, having a lawyer at the police station to observe the lineup proceedings is critical to protect the client.
